Twice per week ultrasounds...

I am 35 weeks with my 3rd baby. My blood pressure is too high (this happened with the second) and at my appointment today my doctor took blood, ordered a 24 hour urine and said she wants me in for twice per week ultrasounds to monitor the baby. This has happened before except for the ultrasounds--that caught me by surprise. Has anyone else had that before? I feel like it's a bit of overkill, but...I don't know.
