IUD Spotting.

I've had the mirena IUD for about 9 months now and I hadn't had a period since July. But now I'm on day 10 of spotting and I've been cramping a lot. I also developed an ovarian cyst a few weeks ago and I'm not sure if it has ruptured yet or not. Just wondering why I'm spotting and cramping so much?
