Cervical checks????!!!

What does a cervical check feel like? I will be 36 weeks on my next app Dic 1, been reading comments about this topic and Im just a bit curious....🤔 first time Mum 😳

For me it's emotionally stressful as I have ptsd. Physically, the only discomfort I feel is becuase my cervix is at a weird angle. I have to sit up a little, usually they end up with practically their whole hand up there,  and asking me to push so that my cervix will move forward. That's pretty unique though, haha. 😅

If you've had a ultrasound done via vagina or tests done where they have to "open" your vagina to swipe and you did fine there, you will be fine with this. They use lube so when they go in it doesn't hurt, the only thing that feels uncomfortable is when they check for dialation (or kinda press on your tummy). Pregnant with my second child (38weeks now) and it's really not that bad, just a little awkward. It only takes 2 seconds too!!

Uncomfortable, but not painful. For me, it's not even a painful uncomfortable, just uncomfortable with someone else's fingers up there instead of hubby. 😖

Mine have never been painful or uncomfortable. The only thing that was ever uncomfortable was when they did my membrane sweep with my first baby. That hurt.

Mine are uncomfortable, but not painful. Cervix is still high though. Just keep breathing through it, they really aren't bad!

This is my third baby and I've never had a painful check. It is less intense than a Pap smear for me.

They aren't comfortable, but they should not be painful.. Pain and spotting are a sign that the doctor is forcing their fingers into your cervix, which they shouldn't be doing
