IVF and multiples, What will you do?

My insurance covers IVF 100 percent, so there's a pretty good chance we will try it. I understand there is a chance it won't work. There's also the chance that I could end up with multiples. I'm kind of heart broken that I'd have to choose which fertilized egg gets to become a baby but I know if I don't let them remove some 9 them my body won't carry them and they may all die. WOW, this is a very real issue hurting my heart right now. I'm just wondering what others would do. My husband's first response was we will keep them all, but like I said, that could be devastating too. I guess we have decided we would keep twins. I still want to hear different perspectives. What would you and your husband do?

They may retrieve and or fertilize 9 eggs, but I don't believe that they'll implant more than two, three max.

The technology & medicine have come so far that there is actually a big push to only do single implantation. If you go down that road make your concerns very clear to your doctor. If they try to convince you to let them do more than 2-3 fertilized eggs, run out the door

Why would they put 9 embroys in at once?

How many eggs will they be implanting? I've never heard of a doctor implanting more than two to three embryos, of course, you always have a choice also. More than that would be unethical, my opinion.

If your under 35 you're only allow one and I'd u over then they implants 2 embryos. They don't implant all the embryos you'll have they took 12 eggs from me and fertilized and after 5 days only 9 of them survived 3 of them really health and good with DNA they placed 2 of them in me but I wish I froze the other one because it's much easier and higher chance of getting pregnant with frozen one. When I do it again I am definitely freezing. Good luck. Which insurance do you have covers for %100. That's great mine doesn't cover 😠

It's unlikely I'd even have 9 embryos. I think it's up to me to decide what I let them implant. I may be stating the obvious but if you get 4 embryos, your likelihood of having 1 successfully implant increases. So, are you saying you'd never allow them to inject more than 3 and just hope for the best. I think that's a valuable option. I'm not sure. I'm 39 and " my biological clock is ticking"
