I really struggled with this. In my opinion, just go with your heart. Even if you get hurt in the long run, you had no regrets and loved recklessly! Me and my boyfriend have broken up twice but are doing really well. It's something we work at and for me the thing I needed to accept is no one is perfect and we were both living really stressful lives. If it's the pressure of your current situations that's causing issues, try to work through it. When we broke up it was 100% amicable and we weren't nasty to each other. If things had been different and he treated me badly then I would've stayed alone. I really hope whatever happens, you're happy. Remember- every relationship is unique and no amount of advice can tell you what to do!

In my opinion if your broke up and at that point you were unhappy with him.. Don't bother going back!
I learnt that the hard way and just got hurt twice as bad, should have told him where to stick it!

We dated for 7 months long distance because of school, broke up and tried not to talk to each other. Which only lasted three weeks (he gave in, hah!) then we talked for a couple months every day just like normal. And we go back together over a year ago and so far it's been really good!

I did. My current and only man I have ever dated.

We parted ways just after dating for 6 months. It was his decision, it was my very first relationship so I loved with complete abandon, he felt guilty because he didn't feel he was capable of reciprocating the same level of love. This guilt was suppressed for a long time and with the stress of university final exams and maintaining a 4.0 he crumbled under the pressure and told me that he couldn't stand to feel this guilty, that I deserved someone better. It was very sudden and we didn't give ourselves time to work through it at all, but we ended the relationship anyway.

We agreed not to speak or see each other for a long time (no specified time frame) so that we could both move on. So for 2 months I didn't see or hear from him. It was very difficult. But it helped A LOT in my own healing process.

We both sent each other a message the same week. He said he wanted to catch up and I felt like I was in a good place emotionally to meet up. We went for Sushi. It was lovely, but after I really wanted to know where he stood- reconnecting to pursue friendship or more? Turns out it he still had feelings for me- after a week of discussion and understanding we decided to give it another shot. I love him with all my heart and I know he feels the same. It feels like a different relationship in the best way possible.

It is possible. But it always depends on the circumstance.

Very poor decision. He was so controlling! It's funny because we broke up and he was an asshole, then he started being the lovely guy I fell for, then we got back together and he went straight back to being an asshole.
