Advice please ladies!!

Started bleeding 4 days ago, initially brown discharge followed by dark red blood which eventually turned bright red similar to a period. Started to pass small clots/tissue. Went to Drs and was told no available apt at Early pregnant unit for 5 days. Visited Emergency unit as I was concerned, heavy bleeding and cramping. Cervix is closed, but Dr couldn't scan me as she couldn't work the ultrasound machine! I was told I had a threatened miscarriage. My HCG levels came back as 149 - I am around 6 1/2 weeks. I guess this means I have already lost my baby?? My breasts are no longer sore and I have no symptoms. How do I know if the baby has passed?? I had a small grey tissue loss, is that it?? So stressed and afraid of the unknown!
