Pcos and mirena, any experience?

So I went to my Gyn yesterday and after struggling to get my period normal and not heavy and painful with birth control pills for almost two years I went to talk to her about another option and she suggested mirena. I'm nervous af. I've read a lot about the mirena and other women with pcos but I'm curious to hear more women's story's. Any help?

I had the Mirena and it was terrible! Definitely don't recommend it. I got severe cramping, pelvic inflammatory disease and  it got imbedded in my cervix and literally had to be ripped out. I now have scar tissue which gives me occasional cramping.

Isn't Mirena and IUD? Have you had children? Usually GYNECOLOGIST won't prescribe annoys to a woman who hasn't had children because of the possibility of the IUD moving into the tubes. I have PCOS and I was on Nuvaring and I believe it is the best birth control out there, I had to stop taking it because my insurance didn't cover it and it's quite expensive but it's well worth it. Also, maybe try progesterone based birth control
