Me and my boyfriend have been fighting about girl names.... So he wants to name her Vivian and to me it's weird because my name is Viviana. I don't want to jr my daughter..... If we have a boy he wants a jr and that's fine but not my daughter.... Am I over reacting? What do you guys think? His mom and him make me feel crazy!!!😣

Could you compromise with Vivian as the middle name? It's lovely that he wants to name her after you, but I totally understand where you're coming from

I have the same name as my mom, she just switched the middle and first. I always loved it. Its unique.

My mom and I kinda share the same name, her name is Magdalena but she goes by Magda and I used to go by my middle name which is good when I was a kid but now as an adult is freaking confusing. It is cute that your hubs wants to name her after you but I understand why you would decline

I'm all about breaking social rules imposed by men! Who says you can't have a daughter jr?? Double standard - if I'm having a girl her name will likely be Rose Mary with my name as her middle since we plan to do that with his name if it's a boy.
