Is my body just getting ready?

I'm 40 weeks 1 day and since yesterday I've felt like crap, almost like I'm getting sick but I know I'm not... is it my body just getting ready for him to come?

Sounds totally possible :)
Maybe get cosy and comfy. Dark, sleepy bedrooms help with oxytocin production. That's why we often go into labor at night, and why it's a mistake to get out of bed and rush around. Give yourself time to experience your labor :)

I've heard a few days before woman give birth that a lot of them fee generally unwell, or sickly. It's possible baby will be here very soon!
