So my husband and I eloped and my family was completely fine with it, several people in my family have eloped so it was received well. His family on the other hand had been a different story. His mom took it personally that she wasn't a part of it. We are not close with his family and his mom is narcissistic which was an influence on the elopement. Anyway it's been almost 2 months since we eloped and his mom has been very passive aggressive. She is blatantly disapproving of how we have decided to do things. She doesn't like to talk about it and she doesn't like when people are supportive or celebratory. I don't really know what to do at this point. Before this she would pretend to be nice and like me. It feels like she doesn't like me anymore and blames me for marrying her son without her. I think she also blames me for not having a close relationship with her son, which I have no influence on. Any kind words or advice are appreciated.
