Should I be mad?

My boyfriend and I got into a disscution about if I were ever to get pregnant. ( I'm 16 ) I told him I was not too fond of abortions, and if I were not raped or had another excuse why I didn't want the baby ( homeless ) then I shouldn't be able to get an abortion. He said if I kept the baby that he would leave me. Note: I'm not pregnant, this was just something we were talking about. That really hurt me because what IF I get pregnant? I will have no support whatsoever. I was really mad and he told me there's nothing to be mad about, and that was just his opinion?

You don't ever want to be with a guy who would leave you if he were ever to get you pregnant. The fact that he's openly saying he would just leave you all alone with the responsibility is concerning. If my boyfriend ever said that he'd probably get a smack upside the head, followed by no more sex, period. If he isnt responsible enough to deal with the consequences, he is not responsible enough to be having sex!

If you can't see that a baby is a big responsibility you shouldn't be having sex, if he can't see that having sex could cause a huge responsibility he also shouldn't be having sex ! Be safe, be wise !

Not trying to sound like a bitch towards him but if he can stick his junk in your baby maker, especially after knowing your thoughts on abortion, he doesn't deserve you. He's basically saying "we can have sex and have a 50/50 chance of getting you pregnant and me leaving! It's like baby roulette! And he seems like an immature brat an you deserve way better.

You can't be mad at him for his opinion, just like he can't get mad at you for yours. You don't want an abortion except in certain circumstances, he obviously thinks it's an option in a lot more circumstances. Whether you want to stay in a relationship with someone who has such a different view on the subject is another question, but you can't get upset at him for having an opinion

you should in no way be mad. he should be aloud to have his say. just because you want to keep the baby doesn't mean that he should have to stay and look after a child he never wanted. you can't rely on him if you have a baby that he doesn't want. it's his life too. and there's nothing worse than trapping a man into a relationship or situation he doesn't want. and if you have a problem with the fact he wouldn't want a baby, or to support you after he has made it clear that he doesn't want that, than that's your problem. he's only being honest with you.

Leave him, he is not worth your time if he won't stick with you through a hardship. You don't want to get stuck in that situation. You deserve someone who won't leave you when times get tough, whether it's a baby or some other tough time. But he doesn't seem like a reliable trustworthy person. You deserve better

You should seriously let him know that what he said really upsets you and hurt your feelings. You have the right to be upset about it because having a child is a big deal. A child is a HUGE responsibility and if he wants to have sex with you but doesn't respect the fact that you would be against an abortion then he doesn't have any true love or respect for you. It's not his "opinion" that is the issue. It is the fact that he is honestly saying that in the event you get pregnant, he couldn't care less about you or his own child. You deserve better than that!

I think it's a cowardly thing to do but you can't change it so I would be very careful and make sure you do not get pregnant because it's not fair for you or him or the child who has to grow up with an absent parent. If you guys end up being the one for each other and stay together he will eventfully come around to kids but as of right now it's obvious he is not at all fond of the idea.
