My husband and I have been living in AZ for 3 years. Due to my pregnancy, we decided to move back to our hometown in WA state in order to be close to family. We haven't been able to spend the holidays with family for that time, so I was super excited that we could finally celebrate with the family. Well, my older brother (bi-polar, schizophrenic, alcoholic, felon) doesn't get along with my husband. He found out we'd both be attending the family dinner for thanksgiving and flipped out. I asked if he could just suck it up for a few hours, but he refused. He proceeded to blame husband for him going to jail (it was a dui 4 yrs ago and he showed up at our house harassing us so we called the cops). He then said "I HOPE YOU BOTH DIE!" And that he disowns me. Overreaction and not taking responsibility once again. I won't bring this kind of drama around the family so we will not attend. I'm just super disappointed that we made a big life change to be here and now I can't even be around the fam for holidays. My bro lives with my mom so I won't be going there either. I'm due in 44 days. I'm just heartbroken that this is all happening.
