What's your smell?

You can be the cleanest person on your period, and take 3 showers a day and change your pad frequently and your pad/blood will still have a smell. There's no way around it. And lots of girls like to pretend that they don't smell at all when they're on there period. They're lying and I hate that. We all have a period smell, how strong it is depend on how clean you're being about it. Like if it smells really bad maybe you should change your pad or take a shower or something, but then again maybe that's just your period smell. If it smells a little that's completely normal . So what's your period smell ? As gross and as weird as it sounds, I just want people to answer and admit that they have a smell when they're on their period. My period smells like popcorn butter from the movies (not the butt smell from popcorn when it's popping)

I think it's the chemicals in the tampons/pads that make your blood smell. It's also the blood reacting to oxygen. I use a menstrual cup and no word of a lie, it doesn't smell. At all.

Not only do the period smell... *I* smell a few days before it starts. Not much one can do about it.

It smells less since I started to use cloth pads and mooncups though.

It's a weird, sweet almost burned smell.

To me it smells like metal.. But all fresh blood smells like quarters to me...

I seriously don't smell my period?? I know I've walked into a public girls bathroom and I could just "smell" periods but I've never noticed my smell? Maybe it's because I have a light flow?  I know that when I miscarried it smelled like blood because there was a tremendous amount of it. That's the only time I can remember smelling anything down there, I don't know what to tell you. I've never been able to smell my period.
