Fertile CM?

Question

Asking a quick and probably random question. My husband and I have been TTC for 17 months and we are awaiting on an appointment for the fertility clinic. My bloods came back normal and husband tests came back normal. What I'm concerned about is that I'm producing the fertile CM. I don't see any egg white CM and I seem to spend the best part of my cycle with sticky CM, with occasional creamy CM. Can pre-seed help with this, or can anyone suggest anything to aid my body in producing this CM, or am I doomed????

Hi! I was going to post the same question! I'm 41, have an 10 yr old, and am TTC (3rd cycle trying). Since becoming aware of CM and what to look for, I haven't noticed any egg white either, but u could swear I've seen it before and just didn't know what it was. It's kind of depressing to think I'm too old to make the good stuff needed, if that's the case! So we use preseed both as a lube and I use the tube to put some up near my cervix during my peak ovulation days (it comes with plungers). This article mentions a supplement that I'm going to pick up if this month doesn't work (just ovulated and now am waiting!)

Before hitting up fertility clinics, I'm going to give these suggestions the old college try next month.

- more water
- less coffee (so sad!) 
- the supplement mentioned
- less stress
- more sleep and exercise
- preseed

I also take a prenatal vitamin and a B12/folic acid tab that melts under the tongue (both suggested to help), and a robitussin- like medicine that helps create mucous (has to only be the ingredient that starts with a g-the other ingredients found in cough medicine can dry you out).

Preseed will help in that area of used when you're ovulating. I used it once or twice so if I'm wrong someone please correct me.

You've been ttc for a while. If you haven't already I suggest getting a look at "taking charge of your fertility" book. It helps significantly.
