When getting a call back for a job, do you ask what you did wrong?

So I'm waiting on a call back to tell me if I got the job or not.
If I'm told I didn't get it, is it perfectly okay for me to ask why I didn't?
Or should I ask what I could have done better in the interview?

My husband is a big manager his was doing the hiring process he says yes to ask and its OK to do so asking is good because you have a understanding of what you did what you can improve on and what if its because of your background you need to know these things to succeed better in your next interview. You not asking isn't helping you prepare for the next one or next step good luck I hope you get the job also you should call it shows you really want the job and your interested it shows your dedication of getting something you want you should always call to check up . but don't blow them up lol call every other few days or even once a week and a professional job always calls back to let you know If you have the job or not
