I'm sorry but...

Why are so many people AGAINST marriage on this app? Wth?? It's one thing to say "I don't believe in it for myself", but it's another to be judgemental and say "It's 2015, get with the times, your piece of paper aka marriage means nothing. Marriage is stupid and meaningless."

Well excuseeeee me, but marriage means a hell of a lot to me. Marriage doesn't MAKE me stay with my man forever, but it's a sign of my love and an act promising him that I meant it when I SAID I would stay with him forever. I always intended to stay with my husband forever, sure. And it's not like that "little piece of paper" is the sole reason for staying with him forever, BUT if I plan on it, why NOT get married? What would I have to lose by getting married if I truly did plan on being with him forever?

Marriage to me is making that promise even stronger, so don't tell me my marriage is "meaningless".
