Is there a such thing as bath night?

A coworker said her two young daughters (3&7) get bathes on Sunday's and Wednesday's. I was blow away. I could see every other, but twice a week??? To me that's just gross and setting bad examples of cleanliness and good hygiene. I have a 7 year old daughter and she gets a bath or shower nightly before bed.
