First doctor visits

Hi, just wondering when everyone went to the doctor? I just got my BFP a few days ago. When should I go? Just visiting the UK at the moment so wondering if I can wait till I'm home at New Years. Or is there a reason I should go straight away? Would love to know when you all had your first appointment??
