Isn't it crazy?

People date for years and get married and end up divorced. married less than they were dating.  why is this?

My moms old neighbors' were together for 17 years. Just 6 months after they got married she found out he was cheating. She filed for divorce and sold their house within 2 months.

I was with my ex for 5 1/2 years before we got married (with an almost 5 year old daughter)... He ended up having an affair a year and a half later and left me for her. Still to this day (4 years later) I have no idea on why! Luckily I've realized that I'm much better off without him ;)

I've often wondered this myself. My BF and I have been living together for 7 years and are finally taking the plunge and getting married in January. We were both married before and never felt the "need" to do it again. We love each other and know we want to spend forever together. We are getting married due to financial and medical reasons. I hope that getting the piece of paper doesn't change our relationship in anyway. It's perfect the way it is.

Well, if you think about it a lot of time "back in the day" people who had just met got married, and they lasted. My husbands parents have been married for close to 30 years and knew each other for a matter of weeks before marrying.
