I actually haven't but if it would make you feel better than definitely go for it! My mom always told me she hoped I'd wait until marriage... But that didn't happen and it bugged me at first that I chose not to tell her because I didn't want to disappoint her but as time went on it bugged me less and less and I just accepted that her knowing I was having sex would not really benefit the great relationship we have. I'm capable of handling the responsibilities that go with having sex on my own, what would she be gaining by knowing that information about me!? (Plus I live in Canada where I can get all my medical stuff taken care of for free, which allows me to be much more independent) But if you're going to tell her, just go for it! The longer you put something off the more dreadful it becomes :) I'm sure she'll be happy you feel comfortable letting her know! Good luck !!

My mom asked me "have you and___ had any sexual relations" I said yes me and my boyfriend have had sex before. And she was totally chill with it. Just told me to always use a condom and to never get caught up in the heat of the moment and not use protection. Then we just had a convo about sex and stuff. Pretty chill, I told her I was sorry I didn't tell her before and that I really wanted to but I thought she would look at me differently and not let me be with my bc as much. She said "I will never look at you differently" I love her so much lol

I had been with the bf for a few months and was always safe but that one time lol.

Well for me personally, she had just found out that my boyfriend was 23 (I was 16 at the time) and I was trying to convince her to still let me be with him (she did and we've been together for 4 years now and she loves him) she was talking about how he has needs that I don't have and I said "I have the same needs" and she said something about "that's because he made you" so I ended up screaming "oh, so it's his fault I f*cked  _______ and _______ too??"
