I went into labor early Thursday morning, but was not progressing fast enough so they gave me Pitocin. After about 5 hours of labor things started to go wrong. Baby was laying on her cord and was cutting off oxygen flow. No matter what way I turned her heart rate was no going back up. It went from 140bpm to 40bpm in 30 seconds. At that point my Doctor decided there was no reason to wait or try any longer and that we needed to get her out ASAP. It only took 30 mins to prep and deliver my beautiful 7 pound 10 oz, 21 inch long baby girl. They took her away to assess her but everything ended to be just fine. It was absolutely terrifying but I'd do it over again in a heartbeat. I'm so in love with my princess!
