So my friend is about to get married. She asked me and other married friends is marriage any different than the long term boyfriend/girlfriend or engagement stages. For me I had been with my (now husband) for 10 years prior to getting married. We already had 2 children, and was in the process of trying to find our dream house together. When we got married, nothing seemed to change. If anything it got better but nothing that was like a "why did I get married?"or , "wow I wasn't expecting this." However, other friends were like "things were completely different when I got married" ....So my question is ...did marriage change your relationship?
