Starting baby on solids, help!
My almost 6 month old baby boy (how'd that happen?) is starting to show interest in food. The pediatrician told me at 4 months I could start him on cereal, but he is exclusively breast fed, and I didn't want to use a filler since he was/is satisfied and growing from mamas milk. Anyway, it's time to start solids. I'd like to skip any form of cereal, and go straight to fresh fruit/veggies. My question is, how did you mamas introduce food? What did you start with? Did you mix the solids with breast milk? How many times a day did you offer solids? My first breastfeeding goal was 6 months, and now that we are there I want to breast feed till a year, but I will follow his lead and take it week to week. So, I want food to be fun, and breast milk to be his main source of nutrition. Thanks in advance for your responces!
