Why do guys brag?

I'm in high school and every boy I know brags about what he's done sexually with any girl. And the boys tend to make it more dramatic then what really happened. Why do you guys brag about it? Is it just because their teenage boys or is it a pride thing ?

I never brag about past sexual experiences. Now if me an my friends are having a convo about sex that's different. Most guy like to brag I had a friend that loved to brag about his conquests... And that's all they were to him, he's also a loser lol.
