Go court or move on

I really need some advice. My husbands ex has been a nonstop pain texting me ringing me Facebooking me saying all kinds of things. Got to the point I had to change my number three times and also my So had to. She then came to our house saying she don't want me round there child I was so upset I told her some home truths which then she decided to beat me up. I let it go because my husband has a child with her. About three month later we get a call his Lil girl cracked her head open. Now his ex has had child protection since the Lil girl has been born so my husband wanted to take her home to safeguard her. All hell broke lose then his ex beats me up with a brick. I'm now taking her to court but they want my lil girl to be a witness. I really don't want to put my Lil girl into that kind of suiation but then I dont want this to keep on happening. I really need some advice. Please be kind.
