Anyone familiar with Social Security benefits?

My first husband passed away and my children receive social security.  If I remarry will they lose their benefits?

I've been researching but am getting mixed information...

I don't think they will.. I mean they shouldn't? It's from their father, so I wouldn't think if you remarry it would make any difference. You should contact your local ss office to be sure.

I also researched and it says that they will lose benefits if he adopts them, other then that they're fine. You lose your benefits if you remarry though.

They will receive ssi until they are 18, graduate high school ,marry, join military or dies...which ever happens first

You'll continue to receive SSI for your children but your mother's benefits will be cut out.

No they won't.  My father passed away when I was three. My mother remarried when I was 6 however my benefits remained until I was 18.  The only way they would loose the benefits is if the new husband were to legally adopt them.
