Controversy corner....what's happening here?

I've had the glow app for some time now .  I post in and I am part of many different groups on here.  When I first joined, I remember actually reading real "controversial" stuff. Good solid topics that caused some great debates....made u think, opened up some issues etc.  Maybe it was *how * it was worded.... u can bring up anything in the right way.  What has happened to that? More recently, I have really only seen issues that were only put up to piss people off it seems (again- think it's the wording and defensive, one sided nature its being presented in...idk).
