Ok ladies I need some opinions!!

Me and my husband have been trying to conceive for 2 years now and still nothing never been pregnant or never even gotten a positive hpt. So I went to my doctor and she recommended to get a hsg and I am hesitant because we havent even tried out clomid or any fertility medication . I feel like shes jumping the gun plus the procedure is to expensive for us and insurance wont cover it. Im only 22 I feel like im being rushed into procedures im not 100% on bored with . What do you guys think should I get a doctor who im more comfortable with? Please no judgement I just need some advice
