He should be able to wait especially for at least another month you should tell him how you feel and he should accept you feelings and respect them when the time is right it's right. Talk to him wait it out. Don't rush into things when you feel comfortable doing it that's when you should do it don't just do it because he wants it when  you feel it's safe and comfortable then go ahead

Just be honest, communication is key!, let him know you're starting the pill so he knows you at least on the same page, but you have to wait because of it, he should understand
