Abortion pill experiences?

Question

I'm 5 weeks pregnant and I scheduled  my appointment today. The lady said because it's still early that id have to have the medical abortion and after reading about it online, it seems pretty painful and terrible. What was your experience with it like? And how long did it take before you felt normal again?

By the way I'm set on my decision. I already have a 1 year old that drives me nuts from time to time and really can't afford another little one right now nor can I handle two babies at once.

It was painful for about 45 minutes to an hour but then I immediately felt like myself again. I actually felt a million times better after because I was experiencing really bad morning sickness and food aversions so I noticed a difference right away in my mood and well being. It's different for everyone but I liked how the pill was not intrusive because the surgical abortion freaked me out. I also liked that I was in my own home for the uncomfortable parts and was able to rest in my bed after.

You don't have to explain yourself to anyone, it's your decision and only you can know what's best for you. I wish you the best of luck, it wasn't easy but I don't regret it for a second.

For me, I was already very sick. I couldn't keep very much down, everything - literally everything - made me nauseous.

I kept the first pill down fine but almost immediately threw up the second. I called them, they said to give it 24 hours and if nothing happened, then to make another appointment.

I was about to call when it started happening. The cramps were pretty manageable (they're usually atrocious for me before my period). So it was a relatively normal period at first but then the clots. Oh, the clots. One felt like it was the size of a grapefruit and I almost passed out after it. I had to struggle to stay conscious.

I spent the following few days in bed, barely moving. I was left feeling extremely weak, continued bleeding for I think three days, with an additional two weeks or so of spotting.

I don't regret it, the surgical abortion seemed too invasive for me personally. It wasn't a pleasant experience, but I wouldn't let mine deter you.

It wasn't really painful just felt like stronger cramps, I threw up every time I passed tissue and it was horrible but that's my experience you might have a different one.
