Britax car seat? I swear I'm like the only one who hates that brand! I don't understand why they're so popular!

We completely feel the same way. Our daughter hated them too. We were comparing them to the Maxi Cosi and they were basically the same level but britax had one additional safety added to them. But we put both seats on a bench in the store and she had a full on meltdown in the britax (it looked claustrophobic) and was happy/content in the maxi Cosi. Our deciding factor was both are really safe seats but any "extra" safety features are moot if you cannot get your child to use the seat. She still loves her Maxi Cosi 2 years later. She has the most comfortable seat in the car too.

There are pros and cons to all car seats. I just purchased a convertible Britax for my little guy. I gave friends who have only bought Britax and loved them. One of the negatives I hear most about Diono is its too heavy and too big.

I'm in-between buying the Britax and Chicco. A lot of reviews say the new Britax is was too narrow, so the babies are so uncomfortable. Chicco has very sporty/athlete color combos that turn me away. Britax is more attractive, and still #1 even with the reviews.. Idk ... Britax still has good reviews, just also bad.

Honestly when you put it up against clek or diono it just does not match up. 
The britax infant car seats are nice though. But I like the peg perego leather infant car seat best since I think it would look great after a bunch of puke and stuff.

Interesting. I'm a FTM & my In laws bought us the  britax b agile jogger/carsest set. I love it so far. Since it fits in my car nicely & has a nice look. Everyone keeps saying the carsest is heavy but I was a nanny to a newborn & HIS carsest was SO HEAVY me even without him in it, so with him in it felt like a million pounds. I'm due this month so I guess I'll find out how heavy it is with my little man

I was a fan of the older style Britax but don't care much for the new style. They seem to take a quite a bit more room, but the install is super easy, probably the easiest I have ever done ( and with 3 kids in have been through some seats!). Having a correct, secure install makes your child safe, and using the seat correctly, not the price tag on the seat.

We have Britax convertible car seats in both cars for the 3.5 year old that we bought when she out grew her infant seat. Love the Britax Marathon!! 
Haven't ever used their infant seat - used Chicco instead and liked that for infant seat.
