Migraines and pregnancy?

I am I agony, it started today with an optical migraine, my left eye just went crazy, like I was looking through a glass pane with water running down it. Now my head feels like its is going to crack open, and my brain is gonna leak out from my temples. I have vomited violently, and now I am laying bed with a cold towel on the back of my neck. 
I haven't had a migraine in years, not since I stopped taking the pill, as migraines were one of the side effects for me :(
Has anyone else experienced migraines during pregnancy? Was it a once off or a recurring thing?

Yep, had them a lot in the first trimester. Even had one yesterday (26 weeks and 3 days now). I still refuse to take anything so I've had to suffer in silence. However I found out that drinking a 16oz bottle of Coke reaaaalllyyy helped. Any caffeine will really help. Sip it if you can't hold anything down, but caffeine is known to help headaches.

If you are further along uou should call your doctor. I have always had migraines amd one thing I find to help Is to lay in a warm Epsom salt bath with a cold rag on the back of my neck and peppermint oil on my temples. It always eases them enough to atleast help me function. I hope your head feels better asap

Are you SURE it's just migraine? Were you ever tested if you have any problems with glaucoma attacs? I would see ASAP an oculist.

How far along are you?
I know that my doctor told me after 20 weeks or so if I got really bad headaches to call because of the worry of preeclampsia. 
I have always had migraines due to a displaced vertebra in my neck from a car accident when I was young. It took years for them to figure it out and finally did and had them under control till I got pregnant. 
Tylenol didn't really help me so I have been using essential oils pepermint oil it works wonders. Also I have a body pillow it's fairly firm and have noticed if I sleep with that behind my head to support it and my next that I don't wake up with one like I was there for a few weeks.
Water intake is also important make sure you are drinking plenty.

I would check with my OB and make sure that it was just a migraine. Severe headaches and vision issues during pregnancy can be a big deal. But, I was a severe migraineur before (amazingly none during this pregnancy). I had acupuncture and rarely get migraines!  I don't even have to keep prescription meds any more. I don't think any migraines meds are safe during pregnancy, but accupuncture is!

Before I got pregnant I would get maybe 1 migraine every month or two. But starting around my 6th week, I was getting AT LEAST one a week up until around week 24. My job had a lot to do with it (long commute, high stress, etc). They have decreased since then and I'm 34+3 so I'm glad they've subsided. Drinking as much water as possible, and getting as much sleep and rest as possible are my two biggest recommendations! Good luck!!
