Eggnog safe to drink while pregnant?

I LOVE Eggnog and I am not sure if it's safe for pregnant women to drink? It may be a silly question but one I've never had to consider before now.

I have drank SO much eggnog this pregnancy. Lol. The ultra-pasturized carton at the store is fine. I wouldnt drink it homemade though. And make sure it says ultra-pasturized. I got Southern Comfort vanilla spice from the grocery store.

I am not sure but I just tried the almond milk kind from silk which funnily enough I think doesn't have eggs or any other animal products. It was pretty delicious!

That depends: Is it commercially prepared (i.e., the kind sold in a carton at the grocery store) or is it homemade? And if it is homemade, is it made with raw eggs or cooked eggs? Stay away from eggnog — and anything else, such as holiday cookie batter — that contains raw eggs, as homemade eggnog often does.

Make sure it's pasteurized, that's one of the biggies.

Most store brought egg nog is pasteurized so go and get some! Now I'm craving some!! Too bad we can't spike ours this year!

I asked Ob before thanksgiving bc I love it too!! Said its fine! I buy mine from BiLo grocery store in vanilla spice flavor!!
