Help.

I just had sex with a guy today that I really really like. He says he wants to be with me eventually, and cut off his ex of 3 years but he has giving me NO REASON to trust him besides that. So I'm scared he got what he wanted and now he'll leave me. Am I just being self conscious or should I give him the chance?
