I'm 14 almost 15. and I feel like I'm being more open towards someone and ready to get into a sexual activity. and I know about condoms and everything. but I want to take birth control. and I honestly don't know how it works or how to bring it up to my mother? any advice???

As my mother use to say, if you're responsible enough to have sex, you are responsible enough to deal with the consequences. Sex is awesome, but I wouldn't recommend anyone to have it before they can financially support themselves.

Here's to hoping you don't hide your sexual relationships from your parents. Part of being in the adult world is owning up to whatever you do. Also, it's not fair to your partner to be forced to hide your relationship.

Now that we're done with the heavy details, in order to get birth control ask your doctor to recommend one and write a subscription down for you to take to the pharmacy. He will ask some private health questions to ensure you're matched with the best one according to your lifestyle, sexual habits, and what you can afford financially.

You can go to a doctor when your parents next book you an appointment or ask a trusted adult to take you. I can understand how uncomfortable it is for you to do this with your parents around, but I'd rather you be protected than not when engaging in such a risky activity.

Birth control and condoms are effective but not fool proof. You can also look into getting an IUD implant so you don't have to remember to take the pill. The morning after pill is also a good thing to have on hand incase the condom breaks for whatever reason during sex.

Also, you should not feel pressured at all to have sex with someone. Sex is really special and really great to do with someone you both love and trust. You're not in any way rushed to have it either, I'm 19 and I am still a virgin.

Honey birth control isn't 100%safe if your not ready too have a baby. Then don't have sex babes because your young there's a lot of things you can do then have sex!!

Do you go to an OBGYN yet? 
If you've started your period im sure you do! But talk to your doctor and tell her you want to go on it because your period is heavy and you wanna be extra protected for if you choose to have sex!

If you're too afraid to tell your mom that or as to why you need an appointment, just tell her your period is very heavy and you heard the pill helps that. Which is does! Mine use to be so heavy and pretty much a full week long and I went on the pill and now I pretty much have it from 1/2 days and it's so light it's barely anything.
