I have a Medela pump in style I got through my insurance. I'm trying to pump and build a supply for when I go back to work. But what I've noticed is the pump is terrible at emptying my breasts. I will pump and pump but after a certain point nothing is coming out. However right after I can hand express a ton of milk from my breasts, so I know the pump just isn't working efficiently to get the milk out. I've replaced the membranes, and I'm using the right size phalange according the Medelas size chart. Should I try a size larger phalange just to check? Any other ideas that don't involve me buying an entire new pump? Right now I'm mostly just nursing but my pump is all I'll have when I go back to work :/
