Surgeries and Fertility?

I've heard that women are especially fertile after having a surgery done. I had my appendix removed in Aug but unfortunately couldn't even lay down or sit up on my own for about a good month. My AF came back in late Sept and even then I still couldn't exactly move right. We didn't actually start trying again til November when I got AF 2-7. Have not had AF and on CD34 now. Yesterday had a bit of spotting when...helping myself...hopefully this week I'll get a +!

My question is, has anyone had a surgery and gotten a bfp afterwards? And how long does your fertility stay elevated if this theory is true?
