Thawing breast milk questions
I have a question about thawing it. 99% of the time I only breast feed, but in the morning I pump and sometime later in the day to save, I know breast milk is good roughly 5 hours left out 5 days in fridge and 5 months in freezer. My question is when you thaw it from freezer (I know u can't ever refreeze) how long is it good for in the fridge and left out?
I've heard best way to thaw is in warm water.
If I have to run any errands or if my husband wants to have some bonding time he will bottle feed her and twice we've thawed the milk and it looks kind of chunky or not the normally milky looking consistency, has it gone bad? Did I let it thaw and sit too long or is that normal? I've chosen to just dump it out rather than give it to her because I have no idea and don't want to make her sick.
