How many ounces does a BF baby eat?

Question

I am going back to work soon and want to make sure my LO will have enough milk during my 8 hour work day. He will be 2 months going on 3 when I return to work. How many ounces per bottle should I tell his caregiver to give him? He is EBF.

Mine took about 3oz per feeding when I went back to work at 12 weeks.

You could pump and feed your baby bottles at home to see how much they need each feeding and how often because we know their cues better than anyone! Then just tell the care giver that. I'm doing that currently and my two month old eats 4.5 oz every 3 hours from beginning of a feed to the beginning of the next. That seems to keep him happy. But all babies are different.
