Child(ren) from previous relationship?

Just curious. Does anyone have any kids from someone other than your SO? Or does your SO have any kids that aren't biologically yours? 
If so, did it make the start of your relationship challenging or difficult in any way. I want to hear stories

I have a 4yr old with someone else(he is a dead beat).my fiance of two years took on the father roll..My son doesnt even know his sperm donor..i think if he was in the picture things would be more difficult between my fiance and I...but since hes not, everything goes smooth...my fiance is a good dad to my son!

I have an almost 8 year old with my ex and my current fiancé has no problem with it. The beginning was a little rocky because he doesn't have kids of his own and he's the baby in his family. But he's never put his needs before hers and he's been there for her since he came into our lives. She's very lucky to have him. It was the sweetest thing the other night I heard them in the living room and she said "Timmy, you're the second best daddy in the whole wide world, I love you."

And I got this picture from a wedding we were at last weekend. A daddy daughter song came on and she came running asking him to dance. So adorable.

I have a girl from a previous relationship and she loves her brother and papa! I'm pregnant with my third and she is so excited. It can work if you put in effort. My ex and his wife are amazing to both my kids. It's always scary but it's about the kids and not the adults.

My husband has a 3 yr with another woman. Some days it bothers me, some days it doesn't. I think it hurts more because I have pcos and have had trouble conceiving for 5 yrs now. My stepdaughter calls me mommy and her biological mom doesn't have any contact with her. I'm the only mommy she knows. One thing I'll tell you is that its nothing like having your own child that YOU birthed. But at the same time I wouldn't trade my stepbaby for anything in the world. I sometimes look at her and cry because I wish she were mine. I sometimes even get jealous that he had a Baby with another woman who doesn't give two shits Bout her child. Its not fair but I'm taking things day by day. It gets better as each day passes.

I have a 15 month old she's never known her dad he left once I was pregnant. I met my soon to b husband 4 months ago he took on being her dad. It's hard at times because I'm not sure how to tell her once she's old enough. But also not having Anyone to watch her so we have never had a date night with just us.  It has its ups and downs

I have 3 from my previous marriage and my SO i am with now loves and helps take care of them and raises them like his own... Now their bio dad on the other hand isn't liking it he sees it as another man taking his place but he has never been around and nothing has changed this far so im not sure why he is so upset when he isn't even trying to be a father so I steer clear from his bs and me and my SO raise the kids together with no issues from anyone

My SO has four kids with two ex wives, it's been hell. The exes blame me for everything. His older girls run and tell their mom everything that goes on in our home.  Sometimes I'm really jealous that he has kids with them, it makes me feel stupid but it's just how I feel.  We're trying right now for our first together and I keep thinking that he's done this four other times so I'm no different. His exes are very controlling and he let's them walk all over him. I hate it. I love the kids, but the baby mama drama is HORRIBLE. They are just so nasty. It makes me sick every single time they contact him. I have nightmares about them. I know it's mostly my insecurities wanting to matter more than they did but I don't know how to get past it. I've been more than kind to the exes but they're just drama. They use the kids as pawns to get what they want. I don't like that it feels like half the family is missing all the time. I wish I could get past all of this.

My boyfriend of more than a year has a 2 year old son . We have no baby momma drama right now at first we did because he brought me to her house to drop off the baby and she was so pissed off. I get really insecure and sad because I wanted to have a family of my own without having kids from previous relationships and it sucks so bad. This brings me down a lot because I can't have the future I want with him . This has a big affect on our relationship 😞😞😞

My husband had a son from a previous relationship. 
I love my step son like my own.

Things were rough at first with his ex only because I was jealous. They have a good relationship, talk daily, and even work at the same building. It was really rough but once I saw that she got engaged and nothing changed with my husbands relationship with her made me realize that all these years the talking and meet up was innocent. There were no feelings. I can cope better now and actually adore my husbands ex!! Now we text all the time 😊

I have a 2 year old from my ex who is in prison who didn't want anything to do with his daughter until a month before he got arrested . And now that he is getting out at the beginning of January, he wants me to sign an agreement on custody of her . And my boyfriend now agrees with me that he didn't want anything to do with her , then be careful . My boyfriend now has done more with her than her own father has done . He loves kids and took to her so fast . One night she went up to him and hugged him and was like "I love you Quentin " and he hugged her and was like I love you too Caelee .

I think if your child has warmed up to them , then it shouldn't matter
