Cervical check

So I was pretty excited last week at 35+1 that my ob did a cervical check. I was 1cm dilated and 50%effaced. Baby at a 0 or +1 station. Finally all my BH doing something. Then I went back today at 36+1, and she said she wouldn't do another cervical check till 38 weeks. :( I was all excited to see if I'd progressed today.

My BH have been stronger and closer together the last couple of days. (They were every hour half hour, now they're closer to 15 min.) And baby feels much lower than before. My Dr said that I would know I was in labor when I was crying...... But I didn't cry when I had a gallbladder attack, or when (a couple years ago) I got rear ended riding my motorcycle and dislocated my shoulder and tore my rotator cuff.
