No sac no baby?

Question

I had an 8 weeks ultrasound today and they said that they didn't see anything there. The nurse said maybe it's too early. My last period was October 11. I don't understand. Someone please give me some info

It's possible you ovulated later, that's what happened to me. I tested positive for pregnancy in my blood and urine but it was still too early to show on the ultrasound. So instead of being 6-7 weeks along according to my LMP I was still only in week 3 and your couldn't see a sac or a baby.

I went in a week later and sure enough there was a teeny tiny little sac on the ultrasound so they scheduled me to come back in a month. I'm 21 weeks along now.

My cycles were really irregular since coming off the depo shot 9 months ago. This same thing happened to me. Based on LMP I thought I was 8 weeks along, Dr didn't see anything, had me come back in a week (actual week 7), then we saw a yolk sac and fetal pole, had me go back in another week (actual week 8) and we saw the embryo and heartbeat! Here I ovulated late (not rare) especially when you have irregular cycles. I'm 14 weeks along today and everything is great! Good luck to you :-) keep us updated!

The same thing happened to me. The first two times I went the dr couldnt see anything and finally drew my blood to check my levels. A few days later she called saying my levels doubled so to come back in for another ultrasound. Finally they were able to find the sac and the baby. Come to find out I had a fibroid that was blocking the baby so they couldnt see anything. I  currently 37 weeks and getting induced the 21st. I hope all works out for you and you get good news! I would have them check your levels and dont think the worst just yet.

She looked at my ovaries she said she didn't see anything. Maybe I ovulated late I didn't get a positive until I was 3 weeks late. I'm so confused.

This same thing happened to me, it was my first pregnancy. It was a blided ovum. There was a sac but no baby formed. I had to have surgery to remove it.  I wish you the best of luck.

My first ultrasound with my second baby they couldn't see anything either the doc scheduled me for another a week later and again saw nothing so she came in and did it herself and found that my uterus was tilted backwards and had to aim the scope right to see was painful but we finally saw something

At 8w, a fetus with heartbeat should be seen. It's possible that you are much earlier in your pregnancy if you only found out in the last week or so, but this sounds like a blighted ovum to me.

My lmp was Oct 17 and according to that, I'm supposed to be 7wks. I had my scan today and found out I'm 5w6d. My doc said I most likely ovulated later because sometimes I tend to have longer periods. Might be the same for you.

I'm praying you have your dates wrong but something similar happened to me in April. I didn't get a positive text till I was 6 weeks along. Went in for 8 week ultrasound and there was no baby. They called it blighted ovum. I've also heard of people being wrong and baby was there but hiding. Are you going back in 2 weeks?

Wait 2 more weeks, even of they can't see the sac they definitely  can find heart rate
