why am I spotting?

I'm on birth control and I skipped a week of the non hormone pills(white pills) so I wouldn't bleed on vacation and since I've skipped the white pills I've have spotting for two weeks now. can anyone explain this to me??

Well the white pills at the end are for you to take during your period. So that's part of the reason. And if you just started taking them, spotting is a regular occurance. Not taking the last week doesn't do anything because that is the period week and you don't *have* to take those.
