How long can early labour last?

I was told today at my appointment  (37w4d) that I am in early labour.. how long till the baby comes?

Forever. 😂😭 I've been in early/prodromal labor for about a week. I feel like my body is trying to throw up a baby that won't come. 😭😭😭

Days. Hours. Depends on how much intervention is done. Early labor is the easy stuff, so don't rush it-- the more your body does on its own, the speedier "transitional" labor will go. 
Go for a walk, get a pedicure, have sex with your hubby. Eat a big dinner, you don't know when your next meal will be and you need the protein!

I'm 37+3 and I'm 4.5 centimeters. I'm still contracting, but not dilating so the hospital wouldn't keep me. I have an ob appointment tomorrow, so hopefully there's some change

Im 36 weeks and lost my mucus plug at 35 weeks.. have had on and off contractions dilated 1.5cm 70%effaced ..no baby just waiting

Forever. I lost my mucus plug at 36 weeks and started early labor. I'm 38 weeks and still no baby. 😩
