Trisomy 13 testing?

Okay, ladies. Who all has had the trisomy test done, and how accurate has your results been? Im 13 weeks and 4 days and they offered me the test. But ive heard it has A LOT of false positives for down syndrome and genetic abnormalities. Im going back and forth on it, so if anyone wants to share their experinces that would be great! Thanks in advance!

My friend had a false positive & worried the whole pregnancy, but I feel like I'm the type that I would want to study up & know what to expect. Since it wouldn't change my thoughts on keeping the baby, I think I want to know. I'm also a huge worry wart though so I'm also struggling with it.

My sister did it and got a false positive. She said she'd never get it done again Bc even if there was something wrong it wouldn't change anything. I got it done and it was negative and it put my mind at ease.

My last pregnancy I had a positive for trisomy 18. I wished it was a false positive but I continued with more testing and even got the amniocentesis test and baby was positive for it. My baby was born sleeping a couple days after the amnio test at 24 weeks. I honestly wished the tests were offered to me sooner but it wasn't and I didn't have the option to terminate the pregnancy. Having to go to a funeral home the day after he's born to pick out his urn was the hardest thing I've ever done. I understand people declining the test because they'll love their baby no matter what. But nothing prepares you to have to bury or cremate your baby. For me knowing ahead of time what I was in for made it a bit easier. I'm not trying to be a debbie downer. I don't see anything wrong with getting the test.

I had the tests and tested positive for trisomy 21 which is down syndrome it was very accurate she had a heart condition and was stillborn on September 30th of this year. We too had a funeral and a very beautiful urn for our little Kenna. Even though she tested positive we still loved her and love her still. We miss her so very much everyday.
