I want to get married or atleast engaged but i dont want to bring it up .i drop hints all the time he says we will wait till the money is right and he will surprise me i wont know its comming . I just want to know is that a cop out or the fact he even said that means he is thinking if it too ?

My husband said that too. He was actually uncomfortable even talking about marriage until he was ready. He may be feeling pressured. I know my husband was. Once I stopped the hints and mentioning it all the time, he proposed. It was about six months after that. It had to be his decision, not because of something only I wanted.

Sounds like he's thinking about it. He just wants to have the funds to do so instead of putting him or you both in debt.

He wanted to make 100% sure he wanted to marry me. He wanted to afford the perfect ring. And he wanted me to be surprised.

When he felt the time was right he proposed and this sounds like the same situation. I really appreciate him making sure everything was perfect first.
