Have you told?

Question

Has anyone told family and friends your expecting yet? I really want to but hubby wants to wait! Let me know your advice and what you all would do to convince your spouse or significant other.

I am 5 weeks and both our immediate families know. My view on it is that if something bad is going to happen, it will, whether you are worrying or not, so I would rather just be happy and celebrate while we can and if the time comes to worry. We will. But bad things can happen in pregnancy at 6 weeks or 36 weeks. (I realize the odds are greater early on) either way I decided this is a time to celebrate with our loved ones because even if something happens, we still had that. Ya know, plus all the extra support. :)

I didnt see a reason not to tell strictly immediate family only. His parents and brother know, my parents and sister will be told this Saturday.  If something were to happen, those are the people I would lean on for support.

I would tell close family and friends or whomever you talk to on daily basis. 
So if something was to go wrong then they are there for you

Only me and my husband know as of now (and whoever on here that's read my posts). We're telling family at christmas. I'm going to make my parents a little gift box that opens up with some kind of cute announcement in it. They live in guam, so they are really far. I'm hoping to have some kind of sonogram picture by then. 
His family are coming to my house for christmas, so I was thinking of wearing a shirt with a baby printed on it and hanging an extra stocking up with the ones that are there, to see if anyone notices.

I'm 4 weeks 5 days and we've told our immediate family and a couple close friends. We plan on announcing to the rest of the family on Christmas Eve and most likely FB soon after.

I told my best friend and a few friends at work because they knew we were trying to conceive. I'll wait till my first scan on the 29/12 and break the news to my family on New Years Day ☺
