Some kind of bite?

I had this on my arm yesterday. I thought it was a pimple so I squeezed it and it just burned. Today the red around it has gotten bigger, almost doubled in size. It doesn't hurt unless I squeeze it and it has warmth when I touch it. Any ideas what it is?

You need to keep an eye on it. My husband got a bug bite on his ankle, it sounded a lot like this, and it turned out that he had picked up staph somewhere. It's possible it is a bug bite infected by staph. Draw an outline of it in pen or marker and if it grows beyond that, go to the doctor ASAP.

Watch it, clean it, and put some antibiotic cream on it. If it gets bigger or doesn't go away in a few days, go see a doctor.

I'm allergic to mosquito bites and mine always look like this or usually worse. I would watch the size, make sure you don't scratch, and use ice packs to keep swelling and itchiness down. But if it gets too big, you might need some meds for it.

My sister had something like that on her leg with all the symptoms you explained. Turned out to be staff, maybe get it looked at if it doesn't go away after another day or so.
