I personally think it's selfish if he expects to receive oral but won't return the favor. I also believe that performing oral sex is one of the most intimate moments in a sexual relationship, you're solely giving that person pleasure, in that moment it's all about them and their needs. 
On another note if a man can't get between your thighs because he thinks "it's gross" he isn't worth your time. No man should ever make you feel self-conscious about your lady parts, even if you don't like receiving having a man who is entirely comfortable with a vagina wouldn't hurt anyone.

Also, I feel like it's weird that people are saying that if a guy won't go down on you, then he doesn't deserve to receive head and that he needs to stop being a child.

People have personal preferences.. And just because it's something he doesn't like, does not mean he needs to grow up etc. I'm guessing that the girls that don't enjoy anal sex need to grow up too? Or the people that don't enjoy having their toes sucked?

Don't make people feel bad just because they don't want genitals in their mouth. That's not really fair.
