Formula question: if formula is made and out in the fridge, how long is it good for if you take it out and leave in on the counter without hearing, just letting it sit to get room temp?

If it is in the refrigerator, pre-mixed formula (also called ready-to-feed formula) that is opened must be thrown out after 48 hours. Formula that you mixed and store in refrigerator must be thrown out after 24 hours. When feeding: Formula that is sitting out at room temperature must be thrown away after 1 hour.At least according to Similac & Gerber brand formulas.

My formula, The Honest Compant brand, says once the bottle is made it has to be used within 2 hours. But if you place it in the fridge(right after you mix it), it will last 24 hours. But once you take it out & let it sit, I would think 2 hours max. But never, ever let the baby drink some of the milk then save it in the fridge to reuse later.
